Coupe du Quebec Results

The Coupe du Quebec Netball Tournament was held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Loisirs Sportifs. Five teams participated and it was a very competitive exciting tournament. First and second place was determined by goal average.

Results were:
1st place – Red Socks
2nd place - Antilles
3rd place - Hairoun
4th place - Pioneers
5th place – Highlights

MVP awards were given to the 4th and 5th place teams. They were:
Pioneers – Phinella Noel
Highlights – Sherrine Samuel

Results from "C" Tournament

The QANF C Tournament held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 was filled with competition and excitement. Games were so close that 2nd and 3rd place had to be determined based on goal average. We congratulate all players, coaches and officials for making this tournament such a success.

Also, congratulations to Ayana Ashton (Hairoun) and Nicole MacDonald (Antilles), who successfully obtained their umpiring Beginners Badge (Level 1) (see photo).


Recent Tournaments (news by Donna Baker)

On December 9th we held the first open “A” ladies tournament of the 2012-2013 netball season. We were delighted to welcome a new team to the tournament this year, Pioneers.

It was a hard fought tournament with the overall winner being decided in a game between Hairoun and Antilles. Hairoun won this match by one goal making them overall tournament winners.

The standings were as follows:
Hairoun: 1st
Antilles: 2nd
Red Socks: 3rd
Pioneers: 5th

On November 18th, we held the 16th annual memorial tournament in honour of the memory of Jean Cambridge. This year we welcomed a visiting team from Toronto, CYSA.

It was a great tournament enjoyed by both local and the visiting team. The results were as follows:
